Omaha Hi-Lo (also known as Omaha 8 or better) is often times viewed as one of the most complicated but well-loved poker variations. It is a variation that, even more than regular Omaha poker, invites action from every level of players. This is the main reason why a once obscure game, has expanded in acceptance so amazingly.
Omaha hi/lo begins exactly like a regular game of Omaha. 4 cards are dealt to every player. A sequence of wagering follows in which players can bet, check, or drop out. Three cards are handed out, this is called the flop. One more sequence of wagering happens. Once all the gamblers have in turn called or folded, another card is flipped on the turn. a further sequence of betting follows at which point the river card is revealed. The entrants will need to put together the best high and low five card hands using the board and hole cards.
This is the point where many players often get flustered. Contrasted to Texas Hold ‘Em, in which the board can make up every player’s hand, in Omaha hi-low the player has to utilize precisely 3 cards from the board, and exactly two cards from their hand.
